  OUR STORY

Corey Webb Travels

Corey Webb Travels began in 2017 with a simple belief: adventure is more than recreation — it’s a bridge between cultures, history, and faith. What started as personal overlanding trips grew into a mission to share stories, build community, and make the outdoors accessible to everyone.

Guided by explorer and storyteller Corey Webb, we follow the roads less taken — from Southeastern backroads to national trails — uncovering the overlooked histories of Black and Native peoples while creating new traditions for families, friends, and fellow adventurers.

This blog is where those journeys come to life. It’s where we capture the trails, the history, the lessons, and the moments of connection that remind us why the outdoors matters.

Over the years, Corey Webb Travels has evolved from a spark of curiosity into a movement: blending guided journeys, storytelling, and resources that equip people to explore God’s creation with confidence and purpose. Today, our adventures — and this blog — are about more than where the trail leads. They’re about connection: to the land, to our shared stories, and to one another.

From the Valley to Purpose

Every great mission needs a soul, a voice, and a plan. What began as one man’s journey to reconnect with God, history, and the outdoors has now evolved into a constellation of purpose-driven ventures. Together, they form the backbone of a movement—an ecosystem of faith, storytelling, and action.

I know I wasn’t called to the pulpit, but this is ministry for me. For years, I was too “busy” to truly hear God’s voice. I didn’t understand that all my troubles were really Him shaping and molding me. The pruning, the fire, the failures, the successes, they were all preparation. And now, in this new season, all of the ideas that have been running through my mind have finally come together with the clarity necessary to execute and build something that can change lives.

But first let me tell you my story.

My Story

The road has always been a storyteller—a place where faith, curiosity, and cultural heritage converge. That’s the essence of Corey Webb Travels, the narrative arm of my mission.

But it didn’t start there. In 2017, Corey Webb Travels began as a boutique luxury travel agency—booking cruises, honeymoons, and girls’ trips, etc. My mission was simple: to enrich people’s lives through fun times, exposure to new places and activities, and the exploration of different avenues of travel and adventure. We provided full-service support—from reservations and payments to travel assistance—across a variety of tiers like budget, economy, luxury, and even leisure-class overland & RV adventures.

On the surface, the business was doing well. But beneath it, I was navigating a personal storm: divorce, a hurried relationship that nearly cost me a valuable friendship, and a gnawing sense of disconnection. I realized then that I needed solitude—space to hear God again.

That’s when the pruning began.

I began saying yes to every outdoor invitation—overlanding, hiking, backpacking, and fishing trips. What felt like an escape turned into a divine classroom. Each path, every experience in the wilderness, was a lesson. When the pandemic hit, God redirected me into the RV business. Yes, I learned and gained, both materially and professionally. But I worked too much—I had income but no experiences to show for it. Once again, I was losing the connection that once wired me to wonder.

And then, He sent me Whitney.

She’s a woman who seeks knowledge, honors God, and walks in curiosity. Together, we began to rediscover joy in nature—camping, overlanding, and quiet reflection under open skies. A few trips and four years later, I know she is not only my life partner, but my purpose partner.

Now—Corey Webb Travels wears a new look and holds a bold new outlook. It is no longer just a travel agency; it has now become a platform for cultural storytelling, spiritual journeys, film, media, overland vehicle experiences, and in the future, the CWT Lodge—a destination campground designed for connection, rest, and growth.

Each journey—on film, in-person, or shared online—is more than a trip. It’s an invitation to see more than landscapes. It’s a call to behold heritage, spiritual significance, and shared humanity.

Our overland adventures lead travelers through forests and sacred sites tied to Native and African American histories—immersive, reflective, and full of wonder. With early successes in tours and storytelling, I’m committed in this new season to reclaim and elevate that success.

“Together, we explore boldly, honor legacy, and build community—one journey, one story, one experience at a time.”
